ABOUT ANDREA MURRAY
Andrea Murray is a moderate Vermont Republican committed to restoring balance and fiscal responsibility in the State Senate. She is dedicated to making Vermont more affordable, lowering taxes and protecting our working families, seniors, and small businesses. Andrea is also a local farmer who cares deeply about Vermont’s future.
Andrea's journey
Andrea’s journey began in Germany where her father was stationed in the U.S. Armed Forces. She saw first-hand the harsh realities of socialism and communism. This early exposure shaped her deep appreciation for freedom and democracy.
As a military spouse, Andrea has worn many professional hats. She worked in a military hospital as a Respiratory Therapist, and worked for over two decades in banking and finance in addition to owning a jewelry business. Andrea now owns a small farm in Weathersfield, raising beef cattle and chickens, providing food from her farm to the local community.
This diverse career has given her a first-hand understanding of the challenges faced by farmers, working families, small business owners, and healthcare professionals.
Community Involvement
Andrea is deeply involved in her community, serving on the Zoning Board of Adjustment and as a volunteer municipal Fence Viewer in Weathersfield, Vermont. She is a member of the National Federation of Republican Women, the VFW Auxiliary, and the American Pastured Poultry Producers Association. As a licensed foster parent, Andrea is committed to providing a loving and stable home for children in need. Andrea advocates to keep local schools and hospitals open in our rural communities within the Windsor District.

She believes in limited government, personal freedoms, and the protection of individual rights. She also believes in lower taxes and practical legislation that is fiscally responsible and affordable. Andrea is ready to bring her passion, dedication, and common-sense approach to the Vermont legislature to ensure a brighter future for the state she loves.
